Books are priced based on two different sets of criteria: whether they are new or used, and whether they are mass-market paperback or hard-cover books.
New paperbacks are priced on the back of the book, and are marked with a green sticker to indicate their status as a new book.
Used paperbacks are half the cover price, with a minimum price of $2.50. Used hardcovers are priced on the first white page.
All new hardcovers, new book sets and also new titles retailing at $24.95 and above are discounted 15% off.* For new book sets, all the books of a given series qualifies for the new book set discount, whether or not in an actual box. All new hardcover sets and new titles $49.95 and above are discounted 20% off.* All new titles over $99.95 and above are discounted 25% off.*
Any combination of 5 new manga books in the same series will be considered to be a new set for the set and series discount.*
Educators may receive a discount on titles purchased for use in the classroom*. For books to be used in the classroom, educators receive a 15% discount on titles, whether new or used. For new hardcovers, books ordered by educators for use in the classroom receive a 20% discount. Educators who order 5 or more new books of the same title receive a 20% discount for new paperbacks, and a 25% discount for new hardcovers. For 10 or more books, this discount increases to 25% off new paperbooks, and 30% off new hardcovers. For large orders of 20 books or more of the same title, the discount is 30% for new paperbacks, and 35% for new hardcovers.
Bulk purchasers may receive a discount on new titles*. For $250 and more in bulk purchases of new titles, bulk purchasers receive a 15% discount on new titles. For qualifying purchases, hardcovers are discounted an additional 5%, or 20% off. For bulk purchasers that purchase $500 or more in new titles, the discount increases to a 20% discount for new paperbacks, and a 25% discount for new hardcovers. For a bulk purchase of $1,000 or more in new titles, this discount increases to 25% off new paperbooks, and 30% off new hardcovers. For bulk purchases of $2,000 or more in new books, the discount is 30% for new paperbacks, and 35% for new hardcovers.
We discount new battle of the books titles. All new battle of the books titles are 20% off. An order of 5 or more new battle of the books of the same title receives a 25% discount. For 10 or more such new battle of the books of the same title, this discount increases to 30%. For large orders of 20 battle of the books or more of the same title, the discount is 35%.
All new books can be purchased for half-off with trade credit. All used books can be purchased for half-off with trade credit, with certain limitations based on the genre type of the trade credit and the book to be purchased. More details can be found in the trade policy section.
Our policy on returns is that we take them, for new books, so long as they are in new condition, within 30 days of purchase from our bookstore.
